A presentation was given by long-time Partnership Steering Committee member Sum Nguyen, including a brief history of Vietnam and the wars that have plagued the country. Sum is a veteran of the American Special Forces during the Vietnam War. The U.S. Vietnamese American Volunteers Alliance Colorado Division is celebrating the organization's first anniversary on October 1, 2011 (see letter of invitation).

A presentation was given by Huiliang Liu, Principal Planner for the city of Aurora's Comprehensive & Physical Planning Division. He recently returned from Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Hong Kong and discussed "China: Cities, Places, Transportation and Streets", including the subway and high-speed rail systems. The Asian Roundtable of Colorado provided the refreshments.

Sukie Moretto, the Partnership's Co-Chair Elect, came to America from Korea in 1976. She discussed some of the history of Korea that eventually lead to its division and gave some interesting facts and figures surrounding Korea's past and present culture.
