Special Presentation by NAAAP CO and the Asian Chamber of Commerce
This presentation will look at the challenges and rewards of being involved in projects that are important to us while trying to maintain some semblance of a personal life. It will address how to make decisions, the importance of letting go and the necessity of working as a team. Finally, it will look at self care. Trying to make positive change can only occur if we don't burn ourselves out.

Dr. DJ Ida has over thirty years' experience working with the Asian American Pacific Islander communities. Dr. Ida also helped establish a number of community mental health organizations, including Asian American Educational Opportunity Program on the Boulder campus of the University of Colorado and the National Asian American, Pacific Islander Mental Health Association, for which she now serves as Executive Director. As a member of the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA), she works closely with other organizations to address key issues facing AANHPI communities with the primary focus on integrating mental health into the broader health agenda.
