Experience interlocking Indonesian rhythms and flurries of dynamic percussion performed on exotic bronze instruments. Gamelan Tunas Mekar presents an extraordinary evening of MUSIC and DANCE. Shimmering compositions are intricately woven with storytelling dance for an effect that is both startling and compelling. A traditional female welcome dance, and a contemporary dance featuring Tunas Mekar’s beautiful and youngest Balinese dancers, along with the winsome “Jauk Manis,” a favorite mask dance portraying a refined prince in Balinese drama, are sure to engage the audience, giving an authentic glimpse of one of the world's most rich and fascinating cultures.
